We are in our fourth year and have produced fifteen shows.
The Complete Theatre Company is an ensemble in New York City dedicated to artistic self-expression and creative interactivity. We practice and expand our skills of collaboration and mutual support in order to develop and grow as actors and writers. Our commitment is to build and share a diverse body of work.
Simply put: we learn by doing.
Where we meet:
The Company Workshop
We offer over 100 workshops on Wednesday mornings, from 11 am – 1 pm or Saturday afternoons, from 1 pm – 3 pm. All company members collaborate in The Company Workshop. Here, everyone is encouraged to contribute written work, experience new forms of expression, and participate in team building games.
It is our belief that we learn by doing and not through notes given by company members telling us what they think went "right" or "wrong" about a particular performance.
The Company Workshop will consist of monologue work, improvisation, stand up, dance, poetry, scene study…and any other form of artistic expression that can enhance one's growth as an entertainer. (In other words, “work-shopping” material.)
